For many women, going through menopause means having to go through all of the emotional and physical changes of aging and our bodies ceasing ovulation. Without having someone qualified to ask questions, women feel lost and confused about what their bodies are going through. In order to address the many questions and concerns menopause entails, Jill Angelo created Gennev, an online telehealth platform that offers services to menopausal women. Offering both telehealth and coaching services, Gennev is a safe space for women to express their menopause concerns and receive guidance and treatment for their symptoms. Having been through perimenopause and menopause ourselves, we were excited to ask Jill about Gennevand how both we and thousands of other women worldwide can benefit from the company’s services. In today’s episode, Jill tells us about Gennev, the stigmas about menopause in the workplace, and the common questions and issues women going through menopause have for health professionals.
Jill Angelo
Jill Angelo is the CEO and Co-Founder of Gennev, an online clinic for women going through menopause. After spending 20 years in technology at Microsoft in Product Marketing, she chose to leave corporate life in favor of re-imaging and bettering women’s health services. This passion for helping women is what drove her to create Gennev, and since its opening, Jill and her team have helped thousands of women struggling with menopause to find answers and helpful solutions to their body’s emotional and physical changes. Along with being a CEO, Jill is also a speaker on femtech, women’s health, and entrepreneurship. She is also on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics of Washington and, in 2016, was named one of Inc. Magazine’s Most Effective Female CEOs.
