In today’s episode, Bridgett interviews Kim, a 7 year breast cancer survivor of Stage 3 Breast Cancer.  Kim talks about her diagnosis, her treatment and severe side effects and how she overcame struggles in her treatment journey.   She discusses her emotional journey along with her physical one and how she relied on her family and boyfriend for support.

At the time of her diagnosis, Kim how she was uninsured. Project Access Nashville (formerly known as Bridges to Care Nashville) was instrumental in helping her find ways to pay for the exorbitant costs associated with breast cancer and treatment.  If you are a resident of Tennessee, continue to call and apply for TennCare, even if you’re denied the first time, regardless of your age.  

We want to thank Kim for giving her time to tell her story so other people will be aware of the need to pay attention to the warning signs and take action to fight this disease.
