EPISODE SUMMARY:
Career, kids, menopause; the responsibilities and challenges that come with being a midlife woman seem never-ending. Our brains can feel cluttered with it all, and when we’re overwhelmed, that mental state can be reflected back to us through physical messes. Stress and obligations often leave us feeling like we have no time or capacity to clean our houses. When we’re surrounded by clutter, it’s easy to feel cluttered. Dana K. White, a mother, blogger, speaker, and decluttering expert knows firsthand the struggles of finding motivation to start cleaning. Back in 2009, Dana started anonymously blogging her experience finding methods to help with decluttering with her own house. Now, she uses the tips and tricks that helped her best to educate others struggling to declutter as well. Through her blog, podcast, and books, Dana is giving people guidance to find what helps them declutter their homes and minds. In today’s episode, we sat down with Dana to discuss the four basic cleaning rituals we should be doing every day, how to set the town of decluttering with your kids, what a clutter threshold really means, and how to chill out about your house.
