We begin the conversation with a talk of sexual health and aging.

  • Sexual health and the collapsed V: women need to be comfortable talking to doctors about their health issues. The aging process in our vaginas is no different. The area gets dryer and thinner and your libido may change or sex may become uncomfortable. There are treatments out there if you communicate your concerns with your doctors. We discuss vaginal dilators, vibrators and lubrications that can help with these concerns. For example, Dr. Ross has helped develop a 5 piece Vaginal Dilator Set

  • Heart Health and the Hearty V: Heart Disease is the number 1 killer of women. Dr. Ross is a passionate advocate for women’s heart health. We discuss traditional factors for heart disease but also those in pregnancy that might increase your risk later in life. Remember that your gynecologist is on the front line for your cardiovascular health. We also discuss how women are often considered small men when being tested for heart health, such as we are not allowed to wear a bra while running on the treadmill test. Dr. Sherry has designed a special sports bra to accommodate a women’s need for this during the run, now if insurance would only pay for it.
  • Vaginal Health and the Confused V: Dr. Ross answers questions about vaginal care in this chapter. She explains that you should give vaginal care the same time and patience as you give to your face. Extra virgin coconut oil baths, vaginal probiotics, estrogen and hyaluronic acid are all products that help with the care of your vagina. Diet and exercise also affect your vaginal health.
  • Gender Identity and the TransV: Dr. Sherry takes the time in her she-logy the she-quel book to define the property pronouns, discuss how parents can assist in this transition and the factors to consider for hormones.
  • Supplements: Dr. Sherry has a line of natural supplements to ease menopause symptoms and help with certain sexual issues. We will keep you posted when they launch.
  • Lady Parts: Dr. Sherry will be hosting a show on the Ellen Digital Network that will talk about women and their intimate health. She and her co-host will answer questions and talk all things vagina related. We can’t wait!
