As a midlife woman, I find it difficult to find products marketed to the “oh so special” situations that arise with this time of life.
I am also puzzled by this lack of marketing since I now have more discretionary funds to spend. Thankfully, others feel the same way and crated some fantastic products to help midlife women with these often ignored issues.
My co-host of the podcast Hot Flashes and Cool Topics, Colleen Rosenblum and I have had the great fortune to interview some of these people and try these products. I want to share with you what they are and where to find them!
According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, 75% of women suffer from hot flashes. I am a member of that 75% so I am so grateful for the following products that help relieve hot flash symptoms.
Hot Girls Pearls
Hot Girls Pearls is a wonderful, stylish, functional cooling product with midlife women in mind. Leslie Myers, President of Hot Girls Pearls talked with us about this wonderful product that has been featured on GMA’s Steals and Deals. The pearls come in a choices of either bracelet or necklace with several color choices as well as necklace length size. They are kept in the freezer in their own pouch while the liquid inside the pearls cools to be ready to help relieve those flashes. Embr Wave
Ember Wave is a bracelet that emits either heat or coolness in waves to the pulse point on your wrist. The idea came to a group of MIT students while sitting in a room where they were very cold and decided to come up with a way to help regulate body temperature. We spoke to one of the creators, Sam Shames, who researched and discovered how this product could help relieve hot flashes as well. Embr Wave comes in several style options that work well with casual apparel or metallic options for work or nights out. While I use the Embr Wave mostly for times when I’m over-heated, at this very moment, I’m wearing it for heat on this January afternoon. Become Clothing
One of the most annoying consequences of having a hot flash or night sweat is the aftermath of leaving your clothing wet from sweat. Suddenly you have gone from burning up to freezing cold as a result. Become Clothing is great at helping combat this.
