In today’s episode, we sat down with Melissa to discuss her 10 takeaways of the season and what products she most recommends. First, Melissa spoke to us about her latest discoveries in exercise apps. It’s important to try out a few apps to find one with exercises you enjoy, and to get started, she recommended using Melissa Wood’s exercise app, The Class app, and even the exercise section of The New York Times. The next takeaway dealt with eating clean, and Melissa emphasized the importance of finding clean foods, such as grass-fed meats and fish without mercury, and to allow yourself cheat days. We then talked about hair care, and to keep your hair thicker and feeling clean, Melissa suggested trying Vivi Naturals Root 66 and the Better Not Younger hair care products.

For lashes and eyebrows, Melissa highly recommended the neuBROW products and said she uses them daily. Next on Melissa’s takeaway list was fashion, and Melissa spoke to us about how important it is to not only feel confident in what you’re wearing but to also be comfortable. Jeans are a staple in her closet, and for the best brands, she recommended Agolde jeans. She also recommended Bioromper, a company that creates fashionable and sustainable jumpsuits. For sustainable clothing, she recommended Yes And’s casual clothing and Angela Roi handbags. We then talked about makeup, and Melissa told us she’d highly recommend Ere Perez and Pretty Well Beauty as beauty brands. In regard to skincare, Melissa had a few recommendations, including Versed skin care, Necessaire body wash, and Whish self-tanner. Melissa then discussed supplements, placing emphasis on the importance of getting your hormone levels checked to figure out which supplements are best suited for your individual needs. For her own supplements, Melissa takes vitamin B and collagen. For brands, she recommended the OM mushroom superfood blend and Femmenessence.

The next takeaway was all about sleep, and Melissa told us that eight hours of uninterrupted sleep can not only improve our energy but our overall daily functioning as well. Sleep is when cells rejuvenate, so giving our bodies ample time to relax and recharge is vital. Some tips Melissa gave for improving sleep was to take CBD supplements, turn off your phone, shower at night, and to give yourself at least a one hour break every day. Finally, we spoke about the importance of practicing self-care, and Melissa gave helpful tips such as practicing box breathing exercises, downloading meditation apps such as Unplug, and using diffusers for aromatherapy.
